Plant and Soil Science is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that serves as a platform for sharing knowledge and research findings in the fields of plant biotechnology, crop production and irrigation management, fertilisation, soil science, ecological physiology, botany, fruit growing, vegetable production, ornamental horticulture, plant protection, agronomy, post-harvest crop processing, plant physiology, as well as ecology and chemistry in plant and soil sciences. The journal publishes: a) empirical articles; b) theoretical articles; c) case studies.

All materials are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License (CC BY 4.0), which allows others to share and adapt the work with proper acknowledgment of authorship and the first publication in this journal.

The main aim of the journal is to promote and disseminate the results of scientific research that contribute to the development of agricultural science, biotechnology, ecology, and soil studies, as well as to foster collaboration between scholars, practitioners, and educators.

The scientific journal is included in category "B" of the List of scientific specialised publications of Ukraine, in which can be published the results of dissertations for obtaining the scientific degrees of doctor and candidate of sciences in specialties: 0811 – Crop and Livestock Production, 0812 – Horticulture (Order No. 1166, dated December 23, 2022). The journal also publishes articles in the following fields: 0511 – Biology, 0521 – Environmental sciences.
